Default Stand-alone application of sphere text

I read in your description that the sphere text can be used stand-alone.
I purchased this for use in a flash banner ad (so everything must be contained inside the swf).

Can you please tell me how I can do this?
My Flash skills are pretty rusty, so please step me through this.

Thx.

thanks for your quick reply

Are you saying that it only works with the xml file and other files? Does this mean that it won't work using a .swf file only?

I can get the animation working as in your example, because it is accessing the xml file and other js / as files. I didn't see an example (or instructions) on how to get it working as a stand-alone file, as per your description.

As I mentioned, this is for a banner ad, so everything HAS to be in the .swf file.

Is there any way that this can be achieved? Thanks

Firstly I am *not* a member of the support team here.

If this is poor advice then that is *my* own failing, *not* Oxylus.

I was concerned beforehand that the file wouldn't play if it was loaded as a swf into another swf using loadMovie...I took the chance and found that it did load into an empty movie clip I placed, named and targeted on the stage.

The path to the xml specified in the fla needs to be changed so that the path would operate from the root directory of the project (where your swf is loaded into the main swf) back to where the xml file is.

I hope that goes somewhere in answering your question?

Default Stand-alone application of sphere text

this component was designed to load settings and pictures from xml there is no point to include pictures in swf..
for other questions about "stand-alone" term, write to octav@oxylus.ro

Thanks for your replies. It looks like it isn't possible to get this working without using an xml file. Unfortunately I can't use this app for the banner ad that I'm doing, as everything must be contained within the swf file (the advertisers will not accept an xml file as well).

Back to the drawing board...
