for anyone else that may run into this issue, . . . . here is what I found,
once you open the cs3 file using cs4, for some reason, my Flash CS4 converted the anti-alias text to Bitmap text which was hiding the text for some reason . . I do not know why !! However I changed the value to Device Fonts and the text worked fine . . . The text field I am talking about is located in the movieclip "HTML" which is located in the News Components Asset folder, . . . hope this helps . . ciao gp |

Thank you mate for sharing this. I code all of my apps in Flash CS3 and yes, there have been some issues with CS4, I never knew what was affected, thank you for this, it will surely save me a ton of time.
