Default Highlighting menu items from other functions

Hi

Just purchased Dynamic Horizontal Menu 03 and its working OK

Is it possible to connect other (our) menu functions with Dynamic Horizontal Menu 03 functions, so when item in our menu us clicked it automatically highlight item in Dynamic Horizontal Menu 03 as well?

Regards

Hi

I just found this in "buttons.as" file which calls function to remove highlight from other buttons and set highlight to current one:

main.current.comeBack(); // removes highlight from other buttons
main.current = this; // passes button name to function to highlight it

But I dont know how to call comeBack(); function outside from buttons.as file. I'm not so familiar with public and private functions

I tried to use various menu path combinations like this:
_level0.xmlmenu.buttons.comeBack()
_root.xmlmenu.comeBack()
etc. but without success

I want my buttons to be able to de-highlight buttons from "Dynamic Horizontal Menu 03" menu and to set desired as selected.

Can anyone help on this?

Cmon, I just need option how to target functions to deselect any previously clicked menu item and to highlight desired menu item with own buttons, outside from menu environment.

Cheers

Default Solved

Because I couldn't wait any more for solution,
I spent some more time on this and solved problem by myself.

I only wish that user support for oxylus products is little bit more responsive.

I know that you're probably very busy with ongoing projects, but both times I asked for suggestions or help hints, I got generic reply from someone that they will try to see what he can do and nothing after that.

Regards,
Hrvoje

Hello Hrvoje, please understand that we are working on multiple projects. You sent me those e-mails during the weekends, you should have been more patient since weekends are off. Anyway, I am glad that you were able to fix this for yourself.

Hi Razvan

Yes I'm aware that you are probably under lot of work.
Sry, I was a bit jumpy because my deadline passed and I thought that I will not get response like it happened last year with "2 levels menu green" purchased module.
Also my initial post was dated 03-18-2009 and 1st response from you was 04-04-2009.

Small hint for all Oxylus menus :
1. There is often more than one menu in project so it would be the great if buyers could have the way (or tutorial) how to control menu items via other menu items or custom buttons.

2. When searched for my solution I also found that a lot of users also ask for option how to control flash with menu items, instead of using it for opening external links. Tutorial how to swap getURL command with custom function (or option in XML) could be very handy as well.

Cheers

I can't argue with you here. We will improve ourselves for sure in the future, it's a promise. Also those menus will be updated when we will get some free time.

Thanks for taking an interest into these matters, it's appreciated.

Cheers
