Default Set up

I must be doing something terribly wrong as I can't get this set up.

I imported the component as an external library. I dragged an instance of 'HScroller' onto my stage and manually set the width.

I copied the AS into the first frame. I tested and this didn't work.

I have read the installation instructions and the setData part has confused me, does this need changing as essentially I'm dragging a working instance into my movie - what would I really need to change?

Does something need changing because I'm using the scroller as a nested element?

Forgive me if I'm missing something obvious!

Chris

Update...

I was missing something obvious - my export frame for classes path was 2 not one. It was necessary to go through the component and uncheck export in first frame.

I also had some issues with not closing sequences in fuse - if anybody else has problems - and this rings a bell make sure this happens...

Regards

Chris

Default Basic Noobe Trouble

Greetings,

"Usage:
Drag the symbol from the Library and give it any size you want from the Properties panel"

Yes - Easy, but what's next?

"Load the xml file and create a handler function wich will receive the data string and label string as parameters. Then use the setData method to generate a scroller, by passing the root node of the xml and the handler function as parameters, ie:
function handler(d,l)"

Okay, I am completely lost. PLease help with very specific examples.
I am not Action script savvy.
