Will it show rectangular thumbnails? My thumbnails will all be rectangle in shape. Otherwise, awesome.

You shouldn’t worry at all about the thumbnail size. It will be resized on runtime with the aspect ratio and quality preserved

How do I use absolute addresses (URL’s) in the XML file for image and thumb locations?

My html, SWF and XML are located on Server 1 and the XML is pointing to Server 2 for the image and thumb files. Everything is working fine except no thumbs or images are displayed.

You need a crossdomain policy (a xml file) on the server where your images are, so that the flash on the other server can load them.
