Hi,
I bought the RSS reader and read Adrian's thread and got it working in 5 minutes, and I am new to flash as well!!!! I just have one question - is it possible to display just the RSS news box and not the description on the right??? I see, I can remove the title, description, version tags but there's lot's of other text below it as well e.g "Move Mouse over scroll....." I would really appreciate if you can provide some help to remove them, I am just interested to show the RSS news reader box .... Thanks |

Thanks Adrian,
I was able to remove the text using your suggestion but I am not able to resize the news area. I was able to right click and go to "document properties" and decrease the gray frame but I am also trying to reduce the height and width of the yellow box but I cannot find how to do so.. can you please help? |

Yes, I am using the RSS feader. Anyways, I think I managed to get it resolved a little bit but there's a big black box that shows up on the bottom which does not looks too good. Click our site link below to see what i mean:
Live Cricket Score The best way this should be done is that it should always expand the first news by default. I have see lot's of other users asking for this same request, see here: Open by default First RSS feed to display, the others collapsed? But so far, you said you got no time. I think this is a very important feature as so many users are requesting it and you should think about providing this as a patch. Thaks |

I've created some shots that might help you with the resize/remove of the extra graphics.
1. select these layers and delete them ![]() 2. Unlock the List layer and select the box ![]() 3. Set x and y to 0. Also set the desired width and height ![]() 4. Set the width and height of the stage equal to the width and height of the box ![]() Republish the swf. Use the same dimensions in the embed code. I will think about adding those features, but at the moment there is no time. ... Last edited by Adrian; 02-26-2009 at 08:53 PM. |
