I'm at a complete loss here.

I have formatting and anchor tags in my feed that display normally except when loaded through this reader. I have even tried the supplied XML file and just added simple <i> and <b> tags to it and it does the same thing so it it not my XML.

I have gone into the FLA and selected the body_txt text field and set it to Multiline and Render as HTML but the tags are still missing and everything in between them is not displayed.

Any thoughts? Editing in CS3 publishing as Flash 8 AS 2.0

For that you'll need to find the textfield, enable it as html from the properties panel. Then double click to edit, write some words (at least 3), select the first word and make it bold, select the second word and make it italic and leave the other ones with a normal style. Republish the swf and everything should display correctly.
