currently my xml file only has 7kb
but maybe because it is generated dynamically (php)
the menu takes a few seconds to come up.

The solution would be to put a very light weighted preloader.
With the code you said in Adding a "Please wait" notice in allowance - waiting for large XML to load
the movies loads the menu but then moves it out from there!

Can you please confirm that code?
It would be definitely a very interesting feature to put in this already great tool
