still having problems with french accents

Hi,
I have the same problem with accented characters. They just dont appear. Text fiedls in the Library already have all the gliphs, that French language needs, embeded, and the letters still dont show.
Could the problem be with the xml itself (although I converted it to UTF-8) or with the way that two files communicate with each other?
