How do I make the sub menu longer?

For that you need to open the Library (Ctrl+L)and from Menu/MenuItems edit the symbols defaultMenuItem and altDefaultMenuItem like this: double click to enter edit mode, select the symbol located on Layer 1 and from the propeties panel at the bottom of the screen modify it's width. Hit Ctrl+Enter to test it.
