Default landing on a start page instead of the first tab

is there a way to have the user start on a start page instead of starting on the first tab?

Hi,
Sorry but I don't understand your question. What do you mean when you say "a start page" ?

Default Start Page

Adrian,

I think he means starting with no tabs selected instead of having the top tab selected. Then instead of the photo thumbnails on the right (main part) you can put your own custom image, i.e. "Welcome to my Photo Gallery". And then the user can select whichever album they want without having to automatically see the content of the first album.

I'd like to be able to do that too but not sure which file is responsible for having the top tab selected. Thanks!

If a tab isn't selected, you will have the right part of the screen all blank (no thumbnails will appear). Is that what you want to achive ?

I thought drummerqueen's response was clear but let me try to rephrase it...

1.) user goes to photo gallery
2.) user ONLY sees the ALBUMS displayed in the grid.
3.) user selects the album they want to view.
4.) Now they are viewing the pictures within the album they selected in the grid.

i'd like to completely remove the tab slider and go with a dropdown at this point... is that possible? the tab slider is simply not usable.
