No offense taken .... and yes, normally i wouldnt care, its an easy thing to fix .... add an xml file. I get that, i used this for a fairly large client, and it did come back as a bug in the ticker. Under normal circumstances, 99.99% of the time there is going to be the xml file there. But just in the case that the xml file doesnt load up properly .... server hang, mislabeled file ... whatever, its still not right that it crashes the browser.
A fail safe would be nice to have in there. Just it quietly dying , rather than killing the whole browser. |

I can get the swf file to show up on my webpage but it doesn't load the news and the browsers just freez. Almost like it it can't find the xml or something. Where in the actionScript can I change the location of the xml?
